The Rolex Explorer II

Rolex Explorer IIFor many speleologists and cave explorers, the launching of the Rolex Explorer II is a masterstroke. Spending days and days exploring deep caves, although an adventure worth having in itself, can take a toll without a sense of time to anchor one’s sensibilities on.

Fitted with a 24-hour bezel and a distinctive 24-hour hand, any deep cave explorer can trust the Rolex Explorer II for precise and highly-accurate timekeeping, being able to distinguish between AM and PM. The independent 12-hour hand can also be utilized to be able to display time in another time zone, making it very similar to the Rolex GMT Master, sporting the same 1575 caliber movement.

The Rolex Explorer II is naturally a certified chronometer, and it comes in a 40mm stainless steel with white or black dial. As with other Rolex watches, the Explorer II is fitted with an Oysterlock bracelet, a slim sapphire crystal for protection against scratches, and it is water-resistant for up to 330 feet. As tough and as treacherous as cave exploring might be, the Rolex Explorer II rises to the task — accuracy, reliability, and not a small amount of class afforded to any adventurer devoted to his passion.
